would be easier to build some 4" speakers into your headrest, would be proper loud right by your ears :D and wouldnt weigh a tonne either ;)
i used to have a twin 8" boom box that id sit on the back seat, even though the stereo was crap, the fact they pointed at the front seats meant they were plenty loud enough :D

the speakers OHM's rating will probably be wrong for car amps, plus guitar amp speakers are not usually brilliant quality. Much better with prper car stuff, louder as well as sound beter.

Do it! It'll lack low range but if it's not really bass you are after you could do worse. My old Laney TF320 runs 2x12" 120w RMS at 4 ohms, which means most car stereo amps will be able to hack it, and at 120 watts RMS you should be able to get a decent noise (you'll need a relatively high quality 4x8 or 2x4 ohm amp to get 2x120 watts of good quality sound though).
I've used my amp as a stereo before, worked well but like I said it lacked bass. It'll certainly be loud- but the main thing is thanks to the enormous cone area it will still be just as loud 100m down the road- in fact to get the best sound out of them into your own ears you'll probably want them in a trailor being towed behind you!
nah just sell me the marshall :)
sell you my marshall AVT275 if you like, as im after an old vintage fender twin
