Sorry if this has been done before

I dont really have ONE favourite, but a few :thumb:

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (Pulse Version)
Dave Gilmour on this song, this solo is amazing, considering he was in his 50's when he did it is even better

Pink Floyd - Money
Dark Side of the Moon version i think is the best :)
it lets the song change time signature too
really good listening to it in a dark room

then theres others like

Led Zep - Dazed and Confused
Iron Maiden - Rime of the Ancient Mariner and From Here to Eternity

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird

Whats your Favourite(s)?

I know theres loads ive missed out but my minds gone completely blank :D

Jimi Hendrix - hey joe

it was at a live gig, cant remember which one, but was on the 7 ages of rock.. the guitar was completely and utterly out of tune, but without adjusting it he rips through the song and its near as chuffing perfect. even if it wasnt that song id vote it anyway because the man got skills :thumb:

IOW festival that mate, by that point hendrix had lost it, no-one ever tends to remember or maybe they choose to forget how bad he went in so short of a time, thats what women and drugs do to ya!

I can do each one of those, if i find the time, or am able to get my k850i to do a decent recording il do dazed an confused for you. Swear by the end off the solo when it goes back into the D with bonhams fills too, i have a lil sex wee!! lol

My faves in no order and off the top of my head are:

Led Zeppelin - Candy Store Rock, very basic rock'a billy style solo but just fits so well.

Pink Floyd - Learning to fly (delicate sound of thunder version)

Pink Floyd - On the turning away (delicate sound of thunder version)

Led Zeppelin - Southbound Suarez

Led Zeppelin - Im gonna crawl (1st time i nailed this my eyes started watering)

Hendrix - All along the watchtower

Stone Roses - I am the ressurection (used to love playing the end bit with my last band)

Loads more, but they're all zeppelin hahaha

it is really good!! limewire it, its on video too.

Jean Michelle Jarre in 1986 did a concert in Houston Texas, Ronald Mcnair was to play the saxaphone part of Rendez-Vous 6 while in orbit onboard the challanger space craft. Obviously it blew up so was replaced with Kirk Whalum for the concert and was dedicated to the challanger crew. Theres clips knocking about of them jamming in space to back home on earth. Amazing.

Don't really go for solos myself but the one in Pink Floyd's The Wall is good - think it's part 2 - the one that you hear on the radio anyway.

Gary Moore, Parisienne Walkways live version, and specifically the one on the Blues Alive tour is just absolutely awesome
