Any modern punk fans on here????

I'm meaning bands such as Rancid, NoFx, The Vandals etc...

This isn't all I'm into (love hardcore and dnb too) but this is my main love... Especially NoFx.

I went to see NoFx on Sunday in Brixton... Was absolutely amazing, as they played "The Decline" in full and played "Radio"!!! All 18 minutes of it!

Anyone else into this? Got any new bands that you rekon I'd like???:dunno:

Cheers,

Matt

I used to be into punk more than I am now.. I liked the fat wreck chords compelations, my favorite was life in the fat lane.

Theres a good aussie band worth checking out, frenzal rhomb, they had an album in 2001 called a man is not a camel that I really liked.. Not sure if you guys got their stuff, but they were quite popular in aus

Sorry, can't help, I'm an old punk fan and don't have much time for the newer stuff.
I used to listen to the hardcore bands from the early 80's but noticed the scene going a bit metal, even rap/metal  towards the 90's.

You'll probably like the 'Give em the boot' compilations, they're punk/ska/reggae.
'Short music for short people' is also a comp with many of the bands you mention, 101 bands playing 30 second tracks.

Yep ive got a load of a give em a boot's and Fat wreck etc, although they dont seem to do them (at least i havent found any) recently.

the music scene's changed, but then again they always do.

My friends got a band called COSHH which play punk stuff from late 70's / early 80's and are excellent to see if you ever get the chance. I think the youngest in the band is about 40.

Cheers. there's plenty of gems there. I like the fat wreck stuff and have one or two "Give 'Em the boot" cds too.

I think I like pretty much every band you've listed there...

Not really a fan of the My Chemical Roamnce/Fall Out Boy stuff, but then each to their own!

You're also right about Capdown. There are bloody good. Always manage to get everyone moving about :thumb:
