I was passed by an Imp on a track day at Castle Combe once, I was in a Mk1 Mexico, doing 105mph on the final straight, this thing left me for dead, must have been doing at least 130mph!!
As the session ended I was reliably informed by a spectating friend that he was all over the back of a Saff Cossie about to have that as well!!
Astonishing little car.
still wouldn't have one though [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif
Imps have fantastic little All Alloy engines & rev like mad!!!
but very fragile top end.
I would like to see one of them go!!!! Sounds mental!

1990. 500+ bhp and no traction control. Andy Rouse spins up the rear tyres as he tries very hard to get a better grid
position in the last few seconds of qualifying.

Can you get any of this old BTCC stuff on Video ?
It would appear not. Duke video have a list of old videos but nothing of this period.
Duke Video BTTC list (http://www.dukevideo.com/search.asp?qu=BTCC)
I have some of these races on video recorded from the BBC, but where they are I have no idea as the house is still upside down from moving back in January [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/mad.gif. All my car stuff has assumed very low prority when it comes to sorting stuff out [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/mad.gif [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/mad.gif [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/mad.gif

[img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/drool.gif [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/drool.gif That black and white picture of the Rouse Sport 500 sideways just does it for me!
Best I start saving my pennies and byt the year 2525 I will be able to afford one!
[img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/drool.gif [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/drool.gif what can i say, excellent.... The black and white pic with the car leaving two black lines as it corners is just pornographic!! [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/cool.gif

Glad you two like the Rouse Cossie picture.
I was the one standing there taking it - even more impressive in full colour with 500bhp soundtrack. [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/laugh.gif
It was a good while ago but this is one of my abiding Superprix memories. (Along with John Cleland 2 wheeling his Cavalier round the first corner, but I didn't manage to get any pictures of that).
My PC is dead again at the moment but I will see what else I can find.
David
That would be great! I would have loved to have been there! Somehow it doesn't quite seem the same nowadays. [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif
It would be great if you could post up any pictures of the 3 door touring car's David, iv'e got a few from Thruxton but they weren't taken with a telephoto lens hence their a bit on the small side .. [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif [img]http://www.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif
Heres a few images from the 19.90 BTCC which i captured off the T.V tonight with my new digi camera, i was surprised they came out. The quality isn't brilliant as you can imagine, oh and its the 2 driver relay race from Donington..
