Hi All,
Not sure if anyone`s interested or not but just thought I`d fill you in on why i`ve been away from t/s and what`s been happening.
Last year I was working for Scottish and Newcastle breweries making good old Brown Ale..the powers that be descided that they wated to end 121 years of brewing tradition and CLOSE Tyne Brewery....bugger:wall:
I could have walked away with redundancy but hey who doesn`t want to work in a brewery:eek: ..so I transfered to John Smith`s brewery at Tadcaster (part of same company) unfortunatly this involved a 128mile round trip so we descided we would give it a try and move down there..within 2 months of the transfer it was obvious the job was not as promised and money was less rather than more as promised, so after 6 months I made the choice to look for another job.
I now work for a company making Compound semiconductors and they are based 9 miles from home...money is better...job is a total change for me..I`m now a Metrology Equipment Technician and am a lot more settled and happy.
Unfortunatly my poor old project (red shed) has suffered a little because of the money situation but am loking to get back on track soon.
Will also try to contribute in here more now i`ve some spare time..
