Hi there,

I'm just another RS mad petrol head.

I started Rallying with a standard RS2000 eleven (shit I'm old) years ago.

Then I made my biggest mistake and sold it. (still regretting it....)

Later I rallied a 2WD Cossie for a year; f***ing expensive thing and the RS was more fun!

At the end of the season it was absolutely clear "buy a real car again."

So I "bought" a "nearly finished" RS2000 form my mate,

unfortunately the "rolling shell" arrived in the evening but the next morning was shocking....

OK there is nothing to complain about......the price was two Rally's with the "finished Project"

But with tons of welding to do I decided to build a Gr4 car.

Still in the process maybe I should open another Restorations and Projects thread for some pics and self motivation.

Hi miikk,

yep Northampton is a nice place for a petrol head especially St. James Mill Road (800m away from my house)

Your Car looks quite familiar comparing your photos to the picture in my head....

blue car, 16 Valves/engine, arches OK mine are forest ones but.....

Yes I will refit the nose cone. Hope to fit a flat front next winter!

No Retro I build the cage myself

It's made out of 50x2mm tubes because the car has to weigh 1050kg to meet the German rally regulations :wall: .
Then I moved to England :confused:
