    Re: RS1800 Racing Germany

1st video is from a grp2 (maybe a gr4, cant tell) zakspeed escort driven by mücke, a known german guy who happens to own a zakspeed gr5 capri aswell.
the capri is fully restored to my knowledge and being used as it should.

2nd video is from mister nowak,a german lad, actually from the Nowak brothers, who put all their cash in a mk2, bought a gr5 bodykit from south africa
(you can tell as the slats on top of the rear arches are wrong) and a lucas injected BD from the states and built this replica.

all nice and sweet, if only the brothers werent on a rampage campaign claiming that everyone else has a replica and they would
    have the only original car.

too bad the VIN they stamped in their car belongs to another car that is currently being rebuilt. seen and photographed the original paperwork / car / parts for my book....

Actually, we don´t want make a comment more on post's of ecosracer. But I must some statemant from escosracer correct. Because it represents us as a liar

We have never said at any time that our car is the only original !!! We have anytime always described the correct history in contrast to escosracer. We know which and that there are a historie. In contrast to the "Croix Blanche" press car.( If you want we can show you some detail photo´s of your car,no problem.

The only 100% Car´s are the Cars from Garry Wilkinson a great guy from (NZ) this car is Build up from the 76 Zakspeed "Europa Möbel" car to GR5 Spec. and has a great racing Historie and the other car is the car from Tibor Mollnar (Germany)

Our car is drove 76 and was building by "Grab" driver was W.Schommers. 77 was the car build up with the 76 "Castrol" car and Garry`s "Europa Möbel" car to GR5 spec. But just in time we have no proof that our car raced in GR5 spec.

Is a pity that escosracer this Diskussion rehashed again.

For me, the issue now finished my English is too poor for Talkshow . Nevertheless, I wish much success escosracer with his project !!

    Regards Dirk Nowak

    Re: RS1800 Racing Germany

Well Dirk, im sure Gary will be along shortly to agree with me.

    The only original ? It's a replica.

On a thread on 10/10ths you made it look as if you had one of the orinal gr5 cars which then it turned
out not to be. Sorry, saying it is a Zakspeed and it turns out it isn't, that's called a lie. Then if you add
a Zakspeed VIN number to a replica, thats a very strong lie.

Here's why yours is not a Zakspeed :

You sorted your bodykit from South Africa. Why ? Because you had no piece of it and you are still missing 2 bits on the rear spoiler. Also you have turbo
rear fenders, not NA ones that you should have.

You sorted a BDG with slides from the USA. Why ? Because your car never had a BD engine. (so it was not even a gr4 car, as those had a BDs on Lucas Slides)

You got the remanufactured front legs from Gary in NZ. Why ? Because your car never even had those either ( as above, gr4 used them aswell)

So you built a great replica, no doubt, and i congratulate you for that, but its not a real Zakspeed.

My Car ? It was the Ford Press Car, built in Belgium by Croix-Blanche who used to sell lots of RS Parts at the time
for Ford. Zakspeed delivered the original Kit to them, as they were told to do by Ford.
They then built my car, brought it to all Motorsport Events and had it signed all over.

In my eyes that is a historic car with heritage.

I am now restoring it to what it should have been built to in the first place.

And, you do not know of all Zakspeed Escort gr5 cars out there then, there is a few more than you think

    All the best, Michael
