Maximum Power on twin DCOE 45s????
Does anybody knows what is the maximum power (HP) on a 2.2-2.3 pinto engine on twin DCOE 45s (with 38mm chokes/venturies) ????
If on a 2.0 pinto is 185-190hp at 7000 rpm with 38mm chokes is it going to achieve the same power on a 2.2-2.3 engine but at lower rpms (like 6000 rpm), what will happen when the engine try to rev up to 7000?

Re: Maximum Power on twin DCOE 45s????
Common sense says a 10-15% increase in capacity will require 10-15% more fuel and air which would produce 10-15% more power if rpm's are equal.
The bigger engine may produce more torque which can lower the max HP peak rpms - revving out bigger engines is sometimes a fruitless task!

In case that an oversized engine reaches the max power on lower rpms what happens in case that you try to rev it higher, power drop or it holds the same power upto rev limiter???

Most engines will drop off power after their peak - some quickly, some slowly but down they go . . . . turbo's are about the only type that will keep climbing as airflow will generally keep increasing to a degree, even if the WG is opened.

power will drop after peak, it has to whether its the head or the carbs limiting airflow the torque will drop off faster than the revs climb so the power must drop
