you can get a 3.7 or 4.1 or 4.44 but english dont come in a 4.7

never seen one myself. do they come fitted std in anything ? i would say no.

Not available in any road car, they were a Ford Motorsport available ratio, I have had one in my RS since 1987

must be an acquired taste that low, i tried a 4.44 once but found even that impractical and went back to a 4.1 for road and occasional road rally use. ( 185/60 tyres and 4 speed)

Very low indeed but I used my RS2 for hillclimbs & sprints and had a competition gearbox with a high 1st gear. I used 205/60x13 but Definitely needed the five speed box

i used to know someone that rallyed an x/flow powered escort, fitted with an A6 cam 4 speed box, he ran a 5.8:1 ratio
