my current rally car cost less than that (its a shed and obviously I spent a load more but thats not the point!).

I think my first insurance ever was £750 TPFT and the most I paid was £800FC (106 Gti at 20 with 6 points)

mine insurance renewal is up soon so i shopped around and adrian flux woz the cheapest around fully comp with all mods delcared and a sp30 too 4 years ncb came to £500 i was well happy with that as norwich union wanted £740 tpft quote me happy what a load of bolloxs

i pay 309 for my civic vti tpft but i will upgrade it to fully comp once i get the body an that sorted, thats with a claim and the alloys declared, 3 years no claims now though, the bastards wanted 5 years claim history

got a quote with adrian flux but they wanted twice what im paying now and im with morethan

That's pretty good Andy. Mine is £379 on the Toyota. That's fully comp, p/ncd, guaranteed hire car...the full magilla. Seems a good deal until I throw in that I have full (9 years) no claims. Sure it should be lower than that, but that's the lowest I could get.

Norwich Union wanted £560. Maybe I pissed them off when they asked what car it was and I said "it's a 4 door saloon, can you quote me happy?".

edit: Sorry, that should have been £460, not £560.

Just got my renewal for my wife's 53 plate Fiesta zetec from www.morethan.com . £253 fully comp with protected NCD (I've got 3 points) and both of us driving - I can also drive any other car. A 'fresh' quote as a new customer from them was £221. I tried www.confused.com and their best quote was £201 from www.admiral.com . I went direct to the admiral website (where my details are already stored courtesy of confused.com) and it gave me a 10% online saving so their price was £182. Guess who I'm going with this year?
