S2 Rst

[Scouse]

While I was at work today (on my travels) I came across a S2 RST on an F plate. It was buried in used tyres and next to a (I think) a Hillman or Triumph ( the one with the bonnet catches at the sides) and a Mk1 Mini.

It was in (the RST that is) moonstone blue...............not sure if that's the correct colour and the two front spotties had seen better days. It did have the genuine alloys on it and they (two that I could see) seemed OK. Can't really get a good look at it as the yard it is in is closed down and meant climbing the metal fence.................bit of a no-no around this certain area!!


Was just wondering would it be worth my while seeing if I cold buy it for a few quid and qould I make any money out of it?

I know I would need to have a good look around it, but is it worth rescueing? And is the colour rare or not?

they defo never made a S2 in moonstone..so its been painted at sometime.

Was it definately moonstone and not mercury grey??

its probably mercury grey, & id say you'd make more money breaking it these days mate

Went passed the place where the S2 was today and took these photos. Can't see much of the car as it'sd hidden by all the tyres, but I think it must be Mercury Grey.

Only one reason i can think of why someone would want to do that!

I don't think it's stolen (although obviously, it could be) as there are a few "nice" cars lying around. I have since found another mini, but as the RST, I can see it very well.

No numbers on the place, so will take a trip there after work next week and see if anyone next door has any info.

It's actually next door to a tyre place and these days disposing of tyres is quite expensive!
