    A bit chilly

-6.7C here this morning according to my thermometer, -10C according to my Dads.

The heaters come on in my shed at 6am, this is the inside of the door at 8am.
Just shows that metal conducts heat better than wood. (only the doorknob is usually white)

There was ice on the inside of my bedroom windows this morning, There was even more in my shed. (the pic is my shed, not my bedroom )

    Sunrise is very pretty though

    Re: A bit chilly

A proper winter, I work in an office with 12 other people that constantly complain about the cold, today the heating wasn't working very well so they all had their coats on, I was swanning around in my T-Shirt taking the mick somewhat, I suppose it's all the cycling that I do in these sort of temperatures.
I much prefer cold and crisp to wet and windy, hope it's here for a bit longer.

    Re: A bit chilly

was talkin to my parents last night and they said that since the first lot of snow they had 3 weeks ago it hasnt really been above 0c. still spending most of the day de-icing the water systems to feed the cattle. although its probably been 10 years since they can remember it being so cold for so long.

and properly crisp and fresh air is nice.. been in canada early jan with -20 and it feels warmer than it does here, something to do with the moisture in the air, knocks the heat out of you

    Re: A bit chilly

Here in Estonia, we've got some decent cold from mid december, and getting basically every day bit more snow since cristmas, 30+ cm every where, some parts even 60 cm. Perfect quattro weather
For me personally, -14 is the limit where it gets to cold, aldough i've been snowboarding with -20 and driving ATV's and cars on frozen lakes with -25(way to cold)...the lowest we've had this year was -30.
The good news are: The snowing wont stop before thursday and long term weather cast says no above 0 degrees before march.

Coming down really hard now on the south coast.
It's quite nice as there's not a breath of wind and hardly any traffic noise.
Will be a challenge on the old treader tomorrow.

My thermometer says -10 and says it is dropping by 1.4C/hour. That is chilly!
I think I will turn my electric blanket on.

Minus 13C at 7:40 this morning. That I think is equal to the record in all the 35 years I have lived here.
This is seriously cold weather, and expected to get colder at the weekend.

-13.5 this morning. It has now got up to -10, so it looks like it might turn out nice again.
Only just got the pipes thawed out in the shed, so can now get on with bottling apple juice. One bottle in the shed froze and burst. I hope there's not many like that.

Nice shots. Makes me cooler just looking at them. It's 37 here at midday and it looks like we'll get over 40 later in the afternoon.
