might be worth saying what engine it is
Cupra Formentor / MR2 Mk3 / Fiat Ambulance
1800 petrol
It should just work. All i can think is maybe you may have knocked something underneath, cps or cam sensor so the ecu doesnt know what position the cranks at. Unless its an immobiliser fault, did you have the battery off?
if it was an imobaliser fault the engine would start then cut out almost immediatly
Is there a fuel/ign cut off solenoid switch anywhere on these cars???
nope
i would say your looking for blown fuses, or perhaps a relay thats not fully home,
do you get a full compliment of dash warning lights
Everything works apart from the oil warning light.
Has the oil pressure sensor come unplugged?? This is an ecu signal then goes to the clocks.
Check for oil in the Cam sensor plug this will stop the signal from getting to the ecu therefore stopping a spark.
The Immobiliser runs through the clocks does the fuel pump run when you crank the engine?
Is it turbo / non turbo?
Hope this helps
