Just a quick one for you lot who are used to more modern machinery than Escorts

Justgot hold of a SEAT Toledo & one of the things the missus is complaining of is the biting point's too high I've had a quick look.....
..& there is a plastic cover type thing at the gearbox end of the cable. I'm presuming any adjustment is in here but can't seem to get into it

Can anyone help . It could be the same as found on VW's as most of the engine bay is VW/Audi.

Dude...........Early '90's Escorts def had self adjusting clutches. I think in bout 1996 Ford realised these were shit and stopped putting them on their cars.
My m8s P reg escy estate 1.6 Zetec has a manual adjuster on the pedal end of the cable.
Dunno if this hels atall.......

Retro-Al. Yeah, mines the same. Moved it once or twice & took it round the block [literally] once & said....

[moan mode on] I ain't driving that again!!! Horrible!!! Don't like the seat position, don't like the clutch, don't like the steering, gearbox feels funny, indicator stalk on the wrong side......... [moan mode off]

adjusters automatic m8 ,near the end of the cabel is there a tube approx 20 mm o.d about 130mm long with two white tag type things that are just clipped to the cable that look like their doing nothing ?? if so its an auto adjuster , nowt u can do with it , prob a new clutch req m8 !!
