Ok, as its quite on here at the moment.

Who's used Ebay and what have you bought ?

I've just got a 2nd hand Sony Projector, retails for 2K got it for £700 and it works superb.

also most of the brochures on my website have come from ebay.

I have also bought heaps of stuff from EBay. Some good gear and also some crap that I just cant help meself putting daft bids onto then end up winning!!

My best buy to date was a front strut brace for Mk2 Escort.

Gets a bit adictive at times...?

bought a mkv rs2000 head complete with inlet manifold, injectors, throttle bodie, and coil packs all for £50 and the guy even delivered it

Sounds like you got a bit of a good deal there Simon. I have only bought cd's off Ebay so far, with some decent results... I dont really want to risk buying much for my car incase its fuct..

I found that people get carried away and pay well over the odds for some stuff, I have tried to buy camera accessories on there and always baled out when the prices get silly, (like lenses I can buy from a shop for £150 selling for £225+)

I got my E100RS camera through Ebay, though after bidding on about 7 or 8 and seeing the auction go insane in the dying minutes (they were getting up to £700++) I contacted the seller, a camera shop in Germany, and bought direct from them for about £350 (new in box with 2 year warranty) ,
2 of my friends also bought direct for this price, meanwhile the bidders got carried away again and bid these up to nearly £800

Still nice to know that if I decide to sell my cameras they will auction for more secondhand than I paid new for them.

Raj, you never gave me a strut brace mate?? The one I have is bright Yellow and was bought last year before I even owned a Mk2!! Thats how daft I am!!

I never got them lights either...

I've bought quite a bit of stuff of it. All Escy related though

Just lately though things are getting a bit pricey on there - probably cos words getting about.

I've bought quite a few books off it - the biggest thing was a pair of new Super Oscars

I usually get gazumped on the things that I want the most though when there is about 1 minute of the auction time remaining
