English axle diff suppliers - help please?

Just on the lookout for a new 3.54 English CWP for a local guy. I’m a bit reluctant to buy from Burton this time as the last one I had from them was set up correctly but was noisy on both drive and overrun. I had a mess around with the shim thicknesses deviating from the etched pinion depth measurements which it stated on the pinion. It was quieter when I set the meshing pattern to a better shape to quieten it on the drive side, but it was still slightly noisy on the overrun. I put this down to manufacturing, ie gear cutting quality not very good.

Basically I’m after a better manufacturer. Can anyone recommend a supplier? Are the retro ford ones any good?

    Thanks

Bought a TransX one recently (now made by Quaiffe), great quality. How long it lasts remains to be seen.
