well its been about 8 months since i sold my old girl ... not the missis my mk2 nissan powered beast and on the cravings for another i found this in lismore in nsw . its in ok nick rust in th bubble, rear window sections and needs a front panel and two front guards but it seems not to bad other than that. ill be building a spit in the near future and when i get some spare time ill be getting into it . i got the heater bubble cut out today and sorted some replacement metal. inspired by the wicked blue car in jamesie thread and mk 2 wizards car im going the mont route with the tarmack arches up front . when my sis gets over here in sept il have a nice set untill then though ill be welding and cutting away
Cool looks in very good condition , does your car have all the RS spec strengtheners as standard, glad you like my arches and i take it the wife has agreed to the work or you like me just do it and tell her later
SOD IT I CANT FOLLOW YOU LOT YOUR RIGHT , ILL GET A DAEWOO . ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE YOU HAVE GOT TO FOLLOW WHATS COOL SOMETIMES AND EVEN THOUGH IM A POM I AM ON THE OTHE SIDE OF THE WORLD SO YOU WONT SEE ME I JUST CANT WAIT TO SORT IT AND GET EM ON . ILL BE FITTING A NISSAN MOTOR SO I DONT KNOW HOW FAR BACK ILL MOVE IT BUT ITS A FAIR WAY THE SUMP JUST CLEARS THE X MEMBER AND LEAVES ROOM FOR THE COOLER ETC
well got some work done on it found a lot more rust than i thought there was worst for me is the rear section of the window were a patch has been welded is there a panel for this or is it a repatch ? also very scary for me is the panels below the front screen either side of the vent is there a panel for this ? and whats below this is it just a boxed in empty cavity ? is this hard to fix ? any advise would be great :-) cheers Andy
Pretty well standard, even when you think you have a good shell, the surprises keep coming. Good news is it's all easier to repair than you think, you just have to get stuck in and it all kind of works itself out. Keep up the good work
