Not sure on the cam spec or compression ratio....without digging out the invoice. The requirements I gave to hpe were a minimum of 170bhp with lots of low end torque.

    whats your giving?

On a 2 litre bottom end I'm at 180 flywheel hp hoping for more with the 2.2 litre bottom as I'm going to use the same head

increasing the capacity doesnt usually add significant power, because it moves the torque down the rev range

You have also got an increase in compression ratio now your cylinder block’s 2.2, assuming the 2.0 heads combustion chambers haven’t been enlarged for the new block.

Bore is at 92mm so I don't have to touch the combustion chamber so compression will change from 10.8 to around mid 12 as old block had piston down 20 thou from tdc new block now has piston 10thou out of block at tdc to increased compression .

What stroke crankshaft are you using to get 2200cc with a 92mm piston?

By how many mm’s is your crankshaft offset ground?

According to my calculations that gives you a cylinder capacity of 550cc, giving you a total of 2220cc. Those figures are with a 92.5 bore and 81.9mm stroke crank.

Sorry but I got my early morning calculations wrong! Cylinder capacity is 543cc and total 2173cc. I had calculated with a stroke of 81.9 instead of 80.9, sorry for the confusion.

What overlap on TDC did you finish up with on the P5 cam?

As a matter of interest did you measure what the valve lift was when the cam lobe was on full lift?
