Question Mk1 escort turbo install Q's

    Hi all
I have a mint mk1 rs2 and into it must go a cosworth turbo
I have read all of the forums relating to this subject and would like some difinative answers to the following:
I have a complete motor and T5 box also a spare 4x4 manifold which I believe is the one to use?.
I will put in a Grp 4 tunnel and I can sort the g/box mount easily. But - engine mounts and sumps!! The conclusion that I have come to reading the forum is that a R.A.C.E tarmac WCCM will allow the yb motor to fit in without any sump mods except maybe to remove the rear cross member lip. Is this correct and does the motor sit nicely with no head to bulkhead contact? If so does anyone have a fone # for RACE? Failing this should I go the HT big wing route? Fone # for HT please? I have opted for the Radtec system so no probs there. and......does anyone do a new off the shelf prop and exhaust or if not what exhaust parts should be used?
    Many thanks in anticipation

I actually think the 2wd manifold is the one to use as it gives more power everywhere.

I have used a Rally Design x-member with the rear lip trimmed off, these are nice and strong, and for the engine mounts I used a kit from retro motorsports.

Sump I would still recomend an HT Racing Big winged and baffled sierra sump (not escort) tell them Clint Spec! HT's Web site is www.dynoit.co.uk

The bulkhead will still need a trim around the lip, with the engine mount kit you can sit the engine dead central and as far back as possible.

If I was doing a shell again I would seriously talk to Retro Motorsports and cost up Gary doing the tunnel and mounts, he isnt very expensive and the work is spot on.

Oh I used a 2wd saphire 3" system and cut up the downpipe and rear box and made a centre section out of straight 3" stainless.

Heres a pic of a 2wd manifold fitted, the engine is mounted central and the nearest part of the manifold is 10mm from the inner wing.

and again on my other mk1

Heres a pic of Garys engine mounts:

Heres a pic of the same engine fitted to a xmember with the lip cut off:
