red top engine and boxes

could anyone tell me what gear box would be the cheapest and easiest to use on a red top engine going in a chevette? cheers dudes

Didn't think of that one!The 2.0 mk2 carlton should fit too! What about an Omega 2.0? The ecotec engines' the same pattern as the red-top isn't it?

2.0 mk2 wouldn't as that used the same type mota as the 2.0 manta, tho I guess a 1.8/2.0 mk3 should?

Omega 2.0 8v/16v sounds right.

Sump/pickup/gearbox from a 2.0 8v Omega definitely fits the XE...did one before Christmas.
