Hopefully you put the battery round the right way......but i would check the battery with a multimeter to check for voltage sounds like your battery's had it or the charger you used is busted

Make sure the earth lead is tight on the body and the positive lead is tight on the starter and alternator terminals, also check the battery connections.

I know this sounds silly but theres not a battery kill switch, isolator somewhere hidden.....or one of those silly battery terminals with a screw type isolator....and check for voltage at the ignition....switch could be faulty

11.7 volts does seem very low for a battery thats recently been charged. It should still power the clock though, but i'd try hooking it up with some jump leads. If you want to test the ignition ffeds remove the shroud and check the contacts on the end of the barrel, red lead of multimeter on any terminal and black on a good earth. One should show around 12v with the ignition off, and more should power up with ignition on.
