200hp Kent build!!

Good day lads, the title says it all

Im going to build a 200hp turbo Kent motor in my mk2!!! She made 125hp with std internals but its time for a rebuild! A friend of mine is helping me, he made 380hp with his turbo Kent

The plans is using some datsun goodies and lots of boost The chassis is also getting some rust removed and a fresh coat of paint The colour decided upon is Ardon blue from the opel astra opc

After 3 years of boosting the internals still look impressive...




But after removing the pistons it didnt look so impressive anymore...






And then came the shock...

good on ye! ......... i still like the small block x-flow's, i once did a turbo x-flow mk2 escort, and i fook it with in a week, so i fitted in a s2 rsturbo engine in the mk2 escort it was fun for a bit,,, but had to many problems with the conversion... so fitted a pinto in the end.......... but that was a very long time ago, about 10 years ago any how keep up the good work mate and kick ass ....

The compression was at a boost welcoming 8,2:1. So were gonna boost her at least 22psi..woohoo

@Mr Sam:Yes turbo xflows are scarce, i was the only one in the club for 2 years till a 1300 xflow turbo was also done. Ive been driving mine turbod for 4 years, but im going big now

@Shane:Unfortunatelly its not alloy just sanblasted Its too expensive to get an alloy head here I cant belive the amount of money ive spent so far and im still not finished...good thing i saved such a shit load of $$$

Hey guys, sorry ive been awfully quit but had a big problem that needed sorting out with my build

After we finished the rust repair i phoned around for paint quotes and eventually got ahold of a fellow member in the Escort club who works at a panel shop who was willing to paint my cabby!!! He said 2 weeks would be enough seeing as shes copletely stripped and he just need to prime and paint. Well 3months went past and this guy just keeps giving me excuses, went to his house but hes never there and we cant get hold of him. So my dad got his police buddies whos in the car recovery unit to pay him a visit...

They eventually found him and asked him whats happening, he tells them that he painted her but another guy is giving her a buff and polish and whatever hes doing. So he promisses to give the car back in about 3-4days. Those days went past and he dissapeared again and we battled for another week to get hold of him again, so me and a mate went and "visited" him one day but hes still telling us the chassis is @ the polishers place, sowe demanded there that we want the chassis 2day. So he eventually gave in and opened his garage and to my horror there she was sitting with about nothing done except the new colour being sprayed over the original blue without being flatted or any preperation done @ all. So we took her home and now im painting her myself

as above says shoot the di*kyou can get away with it over there,just find him knock him out take him back to yours stage a brake in and shoot himjust make sure you sit on the floor and fire one shot in the over your head them let him have it.

So my sister is a customer of swine flu due to a friend that passed it on so our household isnt allowed to leave the comfort of our house for at least 7 days...so thats given me some quality time on my project

can i ask, what does "o-ringing" atually do? ive heard of it before ?

@5hane: the big problem with turbos is the head gasket blowing. so what o-ringing does is it protrudes 0,5mm from the block, so when you fit the gasket and torque the head the copper wire pushes itself into the gasket and makes a better seal around the sleeve i.e:more boost

i'm running the engine with one loom , ecu and ignition from a golf 2 rally ( 1,8 petrol engine ) , but the electronic is stock by now.I don't know the power, that he is making .... i'm having some problems to finish the suspension and braking , i'll hope to end it soon so i can test the car
