Before I ask the question.........., I'm back from my hols in the Caribbean!! And it was bloody hot too!!

Anyway, back to the question...............met a guy whilst there, he was from Burmungham!! , and was really into RS's like me and as we got talking about cars he told me that he remembered having a "special edition" Escort, a "Sun 100". I've never actually heard of it myself

He said it was a turbo'd MK3 similar to the Series 1 RS and only 100 made, but with different interior, bumpers, spoiler etc. Did it exsist or was he talking a load of "bull"?

I guess he could be telling some truth, but probably he just had one with a tt kit on it or similar as im sure they did a suck through turbo kit for the xr's back when turboing was in its infancy

Apparently they were named "Sun 100" because it was a special run of 100 cars for the Scum (read Sun) newspaper

Think he's mixed up. I remember seeing something about a newspaper car but it was a mk1 or 2 from what I recall and it defo was'nt turbo'd.
