Escort Mk2 rally degrees of rotation
Hi, maybe somebody can help me. I am trying to figure out the degrees of rotation of the steering wheel of the classic Mk2 rally cars. I think the road car had something like 900º, but did the original rally cars that race officially with Ari Vatanen or David Richards had the same degrees?, or did they have a more fast steering wheel like 540º?. I know the guys that race them nowadays modify them in many ways, but my question is related the ones that race originally in the rally championship.
Thanks in advance

Re: Escort Mk2 rally degrees of rotation
Hello, a std Mk2 has a steering rack with 3,5 turns lock-to-lock (1260 degrees!). The Ford Mk2 rally cars had a 2,5 turns rack.

Re: Escort Mk2 rally degrees of rotation
My old RS2000 had a 3.5 ratio and as far as I know all Mk2's had that.
A 2.5 high ratio rack was available as an RS option under finiscode 9052872 and was homologated in Gp1.
